BAND BIO

Synbiote was coined when guitarist Mike was stationed at Robins AFB in Warner Robins, Georgia and started hanging out at bassist and coworker Brandon's house. Not long after he started hanging there, he learned how to play guitar. He took a few informal lessons from Brandon, and the two became good jam buddies. Rocking out to tunes like "Dope Hat" by Marilyn Manson, "Dry Ice" by Green Day, and "Radar Love" by Golden Earring, they honed their musical skills and became a somewhat functioning duo. In a few months, drummer Sick Nick stepped into the equation, and Mike and Brandon were thrilled to learn that he had been playing percussion for a majority of his lifetime. It took awhile, but Nick finally got his own rig, set up in Brandon's garage, and the three began to rock out together. Not long after that, they coined themselves Synbiote. They began meeting every weekend and rattling the neighborhood with what some call music, but most call racket. A couple of the band's regulars were "You Spin Me Right Round" by Dope, and "Fire Water Burn" by the Bloodhound Gang.

They eventually became bored with covering everything, so they began to throw together some hardcore riffs. One Saturday night, in what seemed like a matter of minutes, Mike and Brandon had written Synbiote's first song, informally titled "Crooked Uterus." After a few tweakages, a pizza box was honored as the tablet for the song order, which sat in the middle of the garage floor for a few weeks as reference.

Sybiote's only other song is "Dependant," which isn't entirely Synbiote, only one third of it. Mike wrote this song in May of 2005 and recorded it two months later, with the assistance of John Hamilton on bass and drums, due to Brandon and Nick's geographical inconvenience.

This continued for a few months, until Brandon and Nick decided they had had enough of the military, and left. Nick flew up northwest and Brandon moved thirty minutes down the road, so the typical Saturday nights in the garage are no longer, though each member continues to perfect their skills on his own, because someday in the somewhat near future, the three will reunite, combine their powers and keep the neighborhood awake once again.
